Tomorrow is my 25th birthday. That means that I am in the stage of life where it seems like all my friends are getting married. Getting gifts off a couple’s registry isn’t exactly rocket science, but sometimes if you’re running to Bed, Bath & Beyond the day before the wedding, there isn’t anything left that feels right coming from you.
I also have major gift anxiety. Is that a thing? I get all worked up over picking out a present, and I also get really nervous accepting presents from people. I’m guessing (and hoping) I’m not the only one out there who feels this way, so I’ve compiled a small, but growing list of low-anxiety wedding gift ideas. These ideas could also work for an engagement party, anniversary, or housewarming party. Enjoy!
-The place where they registered
-A couple’s massage
-A local movie theater
-A nice dinner
-A local winery
-Subscription to Audible
-Subscription to Barkbox or Meowbox if they are dog/cat owners
–“Admit One” ticket stub holder
–DIY cute wreath
–Candles for the home
–DIY outdoor flag
–DIY quote couch pillow
–DIY mason jar snow globe
–DIY clothespin picture frame (also see an example here)
–DIY Sharpie mugs (also these)
–DIY wine bottle holder
–Luggage tags for the honey moon (also here)
–Towel hooks for the bathroom
–More pillows (also here) Pillows are nice because they can always cover them later, and then they don’t have to buy new accent pillows, which get very expensive.
–Medal hangers for marathon runners
–Bathroom sink decals
Useful Home Stuff:
-Laundry basket full of cleaning supplies (this is expensive to buy all at once!)
-Grill set (tongs, spatulas, spices, grill cleaner, etc)
-Bags set (apparently some people call this game Cornhole…)
-These outdoor drink holders (I have these exact ones and they are amazing!)
What do you normally give as wedding presents? Is there anything I should add?
