Hey! I’m Elizabeth. I’m a teacher, grad student, cat mama, and creative mastermind behind too many home improvement projects. I’m so glad you’ve found your way to Up in the Loft.
I was born and raised in a small town in north central Illinois until I started college at the University of Illinois back in 2008. I graduated in 2012 with a degree in English and secondary education, and I’ve been teachin’ young folks ever since. I recently started my master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction at my wonderful Alma Mater, but I don’t blog about that much because…well…here. I’m married to Austin, the guy on the left, and together we hold down the fort in central Illinois. We talk to our cats like they’re kids, and we never do enough laundry.
I blog for a lot of reasons. Mainly, I like to think. I like to write down what I think about, and I like for others to read it sometimes. I like to be part of a community, and I like to support people. I like to laugh and I like to make people laugh. I like to teach and I like to learn. I like to read and I like to publish. Hopefully this blog gives you a little bit of everything you’re looking for, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m always up for some good talky-time.
